The Blue Raven Seaside offers you a truly relaxing environment at the water's edge. Our Artist Cottage and Potlatch Suite are cozy, the surroundings quiet and pristine.

We are located on Vancouver Island, only 35 minutes from Victoria, British Columbia, on the beautiful Sooke Harbour Basin. We are surrounded by fresh air, mountains and the sea, and are just a short distance from good restaurants, shops, artisan studios, a museum and other attractions. While in Sooke, you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking and biking trails, whale watching, kayaking, swimming and fishing.

Take a moment to stroll through our gardens, across spacious green lawns to the pebbly beach, learn about Native tradition, witness the carving of a totem pole and watch as Native art, clothing and jewelry are created by the artisans of the Blue Raven Gallery.

Both our Artist Cottage and Potlatch Suite are self contained with a private entrance, kitchenette and bath. Each has its own deck, and access to our waterfront property.

Edith and Victor Newman have lived at Blue Raven Seaside since 1971, and have spent more than 30 years raising a family, pursuing their art, and creating a home that reflects their west coast lifestyle..

Edith is a fashion designer, who creates unique and beautiful apparel with Northwest Coast Native motifs.

Victor is a Native master carver, whose powerful works of art can be found in collections worldwide.
